Merzouga and Erg Chebbi Sahara, Morocco
Lisa and I travelled around Morocco without Armaan hitting Marrakesh, Casablanca and Fez along the way. But sleeping under stars in Sahara was highlight.
Choeung Ek (aka The Killing Fields), Cambodia
Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge got away largely unscathed by their attrocities.
Mauii, Hawaii, USA
My favorite of the Hawaiian islands with right mix of tranquility and bustle. Take the Haleakala dawn bike ride down the mountain!
Aruba, Dutch Antilles
Great place for a beach holiday. Not too rowdy with beautiful beaches. Temperature was a little too hot for me. Standing among crashing waves at the natural bridges is something!
Lisbon, Portugal
Fleeting three week engagement as consultant. Stayed at Hotel Lapa Palace, overlooking the city. Great nightlife.
Dublin, Ireland
My start up was based here, so had plenty of nights out around Stephens Green. Fast evolving city, quaint architecture, and the friendliest people in the world.
Vienna, Austria
One of most beautiful European captials and hive of culture. I spent too much time at the "Bourse", where beer prices fluctuate based on demand. Not so cultural, but good fun.
Great Wall, China
A Chinese astronaut confirmed he could not see it from space, but it's still pretty damn impressive
Grand Canyon, USA
It's a painful hike down but is well worth it for the views. Therocks at the bottom are prehistoric and the Colorado River is exciting.
Tokyo, Japan
This feels like the biggest city in the world, despite what Donald Trump says. I worked here for three months and never had a dull night/weekend.
Hong Kong
Take the Dragon's Back Trail to see some amazing views around the Island. Enjoy the bustle of Lan Kwai Fong.
Seoul, Republic of Korea
Brief visit for work. Very similar to other Asian metropolis.
Singapore
I transferred here from London with Accenture and lived by BugisJunction. Strange this place is a dictatorship.
Cameron Highlands, Malaysia
A few hours drive from Kuala Lumpur, but great views and if youlove tea, they have some of the best.
Bangladesh (Everywhere)
Of course I would say that. Everyone knows about the poverty. But the country is magical experience with tea gardens, waterways and beaches.
Loch Ness, Scotland
May be no monsters, but after a few whiskeys from the region, you can see why someone might there were!
Copenhagen, Denmark
Stays in my memory as I bumped into Helena Christensen (super model) there!
Istanbul, Turkey
Incredible city with night clubs around the corner from Byzantine monuments. Modern Islam meets Europe.
Bangalore, India
Great city mixing high tech and "the other side" of India. I felt like I was walking around Microsoft with so many Indians theer!
Sevilla, Spain
Beautiful city, great nightlife. All the Spanish charm without the craziness of Madrid.
Dusseldorf, Germany
Cute town with great beer!
New York Hotel, Rotterdam, Netherlands
This funky hotel on waterfront is designed to feel like a capsizing ship, with sloping floors. Seems odd, but made my three month stint there bearable.
Switzerland (Everywhere)
As one German said, "every country should have a Switzerland". Try the skiing and fondue.
Algonquin Provincial Park, Canada
Canoeing for days in this unspoilt wilderness let\'s your mind really wander.
Chichen Itza, Mexico
Was there any connection between Mayan pyramids and the Egyptians? Reasoanbly looked after city deep in Yucatan jungle.
Manaus/Amazon, Brazil
Just flying over that much forest makes you dizzy! Check out the"meeting of the rivers" and spend a few days deep in the jungle.
Garden Route, South Africa
A trail from Durban to Cape Town along the Coast. Surfing, Ndebele tribespeople, Elephants, Whales .. you pretty much see everything.
Uluru (Ayers Rock), Australia
Very strange rock with stranger geology in middle of nowhere. Best views of Milky Way in Southern Hemisphere I have seen.
Great Barrier Reef, Australia
Some of best reef diving you do anywhere. Not as good for fish.
Chiang Mai, Thailand
Nestled in mountains and jungles, this is a much better experience than Bangkok. Try the Cooking School.
Sapa, Vietnam
On border of China/Vietnam, incredible views of rolling fields.Take the train from Hanoi.
Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Much more mellow than Jakarta. Interesting mix of Hinduism, Animism and Islam.
Mikonos, Greece
All of the Kiklades islands off the coast of Greece are party havens, but Mikonos is the best
Colloseum, Rome, Italy
How mighty empires rise fall and beget more mighty empires
Paris, France
Everything they say about food and art is true, shame about the French
Macchu Pichu, Peru
Fast becoming a tourist trail, but is amazing if you get in quiet season
